The most identifying and crucial component of the RadioTech Original FDNY Style Radio Strap are the end pieces, which attach to the radio case “D” rings. RadioTech end pieces are not stitched to the strap. These collars are absolutely free flowing and allow the RadioTech radio case to rotate and move easily with the body thus providing outstanding comfort and maneuverability to the wearer. Heavy-Duty 1.5 ounce rust free nickel plated swivel scissor snaps attach the RadioTech radio case to the RadioTech Original FDNY Style Radio Strap via these collars, perfectly mating the radio case to the strap
The standard RadioTech Original Communicator Style Radio Strap length is 53 inches and is fully adjustable from 52 inches to 56 inches, end to end. This is accomplished via a premium solid brass belt assembly, and is reversible for left or right hand use. The width of the strap is 1.25 inches, with an embossed boarder running the length of the strap, giving the strap a professional finished look. A Leather loop is rivet -mounted chest level to attach the speaker/mic. A second leather loop is rivet _mounted approximately 6 inches below the original loop to carry additional equipment, i.e. Nextel, cell phone, Knife, etc.
